Speech on Music – 1

Greetings, Friends!

Gratitude for visiting. Our music school is celebrating its silver anniversary today. I vividly recall when, 25 years ago, we had hired a little space to teach music to the initial group of five eager and enthusiastic learners. Today, we proudly have 5,000 students enrolled throughout our many campuses. The professors, who are equally passionate about educating the pupils, and the students themselves deserve all of the credit for this.

Creating music is a cultural and artistic endeavour. For many people, it is a way of life; they breathe and live music constantly, and needless to say, they would do anything to reach the heights of success. Pitch, dynamics, and tempo are some of the basic components of music.

Hindu culture and mythology place a high value on music. The common name for Lord Krishna, the eighth manifestation of Lord Vishnu, is “Murliwala” (Flute possessor). In order to seduce Lord Vishnu, Deity “Naarad” would play the “Taanpura,” a long-necked plucked instrument with a string, which he always carried. The instrument, known as the Taanpura, is held by Goddess Saraswati, who is also the lord of education.

One of the most priceless blessings that God has given to mankind is music, which allows people to relax and lessen their responsibilities. Hinduism holds that all ragas or musical styles originated from a single note (sound), “Om,” and seven octaves (suras), including “SA-RE-GA-MA-PA-DHA-NI,” which is the source of all ragas.

Everyone enjoys music, whether it be instrumental or vocal. Even plants and animals can comprehend and appreciate the beat, rhythm, and harmony that the musical tones produce among all living things.

Individual preferences in music might differ; some people favour classical music, while others could prefer western music; some people like movie songs, while others might only listen to ghazals or Kawaallis. Each type of music has its own depth range, and those who practise it must go through rigorous instruction and practise in order to become masters. Musicians of all genres are referred to be “children of god.” In addition to enhancing one’s life, music may energise individuals during difficult times.

Every religion recognises the value of music; Muslims value Ghazals and Kawwallis, while Westerners love pop, jazz, etc.; Sikhs revere Gurubani; and Hindus practise many Raagas, including Bhairav, Yaman, etc. People learn empathy and compassion via music.

The good news is that music is now crossing international boundaries and people are enthusiastically embracing one another’s culture and musical traditions.

Even though everyone’s tastes in music may differ, everyone who practises or likes it has the same sense of contentment. As long as it is done from the heart, music is the path to God. Therefore, everyone should learn to enjoy music since it is a type of art that can uplift you when you’re down and energise you when you’re happy. You need to be careful that your passion for music doesn’t hurt you or anybody else. Because it is extremely unsafe for everyone, you should never use headphones while driving or walking on the road.

So, when engaging in your favourite pastime, keep others’ convenience in mind. Additionally, be safe, cultivate your passion of music, and never let it fizzle out.

I’m grateful.

Speech on Music – 3

Good morning, Principal, Teachers, and My Delightful Students!

My name is Arsha, and this is my first day at this school as your music instructor. I am really grateful to be a part of such a wonderful institution. Since today is my first day as a music instructor, I’d want to start by discussing music briefly.

Let me start by explaining what music is. The organisation of pitch, rhythm, and sounds produced by musical instruments and occasionally vocal results in the creation of a melody or a mood. Everyone’s life has music, which may be a crucial component. The music affects everyone and everything in our world, even animals. Somewhere in this hectic world, music aids in maintaining the tranquilly of our neurological systems. Some of the advantages of music may be used to cure physical ailments as well as other conditions like depression. It has a significant impact on the lives of those who are alone or are under a lot of pressure in any way. We are able to relieve both mental and physical tension when we listen to music.

Yoga and music have many similarities. It keeps us content, calms us physically and emotionally, and aids our body in maintaining hormonal balance. It aids in keeping us from becoming obese and putting on weight. Music helps us keep our minds calm during trying moments and helps us from becoming angry in today’s busy, selfish, and congested environment. Additionally, it aids in cleansing our bodies and minds of bad vibes and ideas.

In my life, I’ve come to understand that music is the one thing that may bring you joy no matter if you’re alone or facing a challenging scenario since we can listen to it at any time, day or night. Because it can aid in boosting attention, we can argue that music is a form of meditation. We may also select music based on our current circumstances, and we frequently do so. Pop music, opera, melancholy or slow music, etc. are all options. Almost every religion in India and around the world has its own style of music that is representative of its culture or faith. Because there are so many different types of music, it may convey a variety of meanings and emotions. Listening to traditional or spiritual music might help one connect with God and find inner peace. It aids in remembering and preserving happy memories in our lives. It serves as a sort of lifeline, providing support for finding spiritual calm and motivation to live fully and, of course, pleasantly.

On that point, I’d like to wrap up my remarks and express my sincere gratitude to the management committee and our principal ma’am for giving me the chance to join this school.

I appreciate you and wish you all a wonderful day.

Speech on Music – 4

Greetings, ladies and gentlemen, and good morning!

We have convened here today for a very significant occasion, as we are all aware. Our management committee has planned a party in honour of the five great years our music school has just finished. I’ve been given the chance to organise this event in my capacity as a music teacher, and before it starts, I’d want to share my thoughts on music.

I understand the value of music in my life since I am a music educator. It is a gift from God because it enables me to remain composed and triumph in trying circumstances. Music is as vital to me as air is, serving as my source of vitality. It keeps me psychologically and physically well. I can’t fathom my existence without music, that much is true. Since I was a little child, music has been a form of therapy that has enabled me to overcome my issues. I was so bashful as a youngster that I couldn’t talk to my cousins. My entire family saw me as a bookworm because of the way I behaved around them. My mother once took me to a music school, where I discovered my innate ability for music. My entire life was altered by the music school. My daily musical practise helped me overcome my despair and boosted my confidence. For me, music was a real healer. I had more energy and clarity than before.

In this school, we also put a lot of emphasis on utilising music to treat kids who are dealing with various issues like depression, obesity, etc. Many students who are experiencing these issues physically or emotionally have been admitted, and after only a few lessons, we have witnessed improvement. Physically and psychologically balancing the body with music is beneficial. It facilitates the development of a joyful state of mind, which promotes nervous system relaxation. Additionally, music may be utilised as a technique to improve focus. Due to the bustle of our modern lifestyles, finding tranquilly for the body or mind is the best option.

There are many different genres of music, including rock, jazz, classical, raga, pop, flat, country, chamber, and folk. We are free to select any genre of music that appeals to our tastes or circumstances. The way that music affects various people varies, in my opinion. Much more than just listening or playing is involved. In our busy world, it is the means through which everyone is connected to one another. You may use it to assist you find solutions to the issues in your life. Our bodies and souls are connected by the incredible sensation of joy and satisfaction we get from listening to music.

On that point, I’d want to draw to a close my remarks and express my sincere gratitude to each and every one of you for attending today’s event.

I’m grateful.

Speech on Music – 5

Dear Teachers, Respected Vice Principal, Respected Principal, and My Dear Fellow Students – Greetings from all of us!

In today’s speech competition, I, Rakesh Jha from Class X (A), would want to discuss a very strange but intriguing topic so you won’t get tired of hearing and may develop your own interpretation of it. Dear Students, the subject at hand is music. What is music to you, I want to know before I continue on with this topic? Technically speaking, music is the practise of combining sounds in a way that is pleasing to the ear. Is it not? It could also suggest that certain combinations of sounds provide a pleasing effect on our thoughts.

You cannot categorise every sound as music, though; only when several sounds are mixed to create melody and harmony that appeals to the hearing can something be referred to be music. You may get one with God in your thoughts and have a beautiful feeling with the aid of music. In actuality, it is a calming and honing diversion.

These are some advantages that music has for you:

A tedious, uninteresting life may be made fascinating by music;
A moving song might help you control your rage;
It may elicit sentiments of affection and sympathy;
Your life may be made more exciting by music, which can also make your heart sing with delight.
If a song is patriotic, it inspires love for one’s own nation;
The majestic and sombre music inspires the worshippers with reverence, wonder, and a sense of the divine presence. Some well-known musical compositions are regarded as some of the greatest achievements in human history.
Everyone is aware of how the ancient Greek musician Orpheus’ singing managed to enchant trees, stones, and floods. In fact, the Tansen song in Akbar’s court wielded such a strong force that it ignited a fire and brought a severe downpour. Not only can music elicit a variety of emotions, but it also soothes the weary and anxious spirit. You can play a musical instrument or, depending on your mood or preference, turn on a song to take your mind off the peer pressure of everyday life. In either case, music enhances our lives in a variety of ways.

Some individuals can’t envision their lives without music since it goes through their blood. The ability of excellent music to move people to dance is unmatched. In the same way that artists use words to express themselves, musicians use music to evoke emotions in their listeners. It soothes our minds and restores our souls. It is a strong remedy for a life that is dull and repetitive since it gives one’s life new vitality and vibrancy.

Even music performances are held, and the crowds are enthralled. The music business is quite profitable and is now thriving. Therefore, if you or anybody you know has a strong interest in music, you should pursue it and perfect your talents since you never know what the future may hold.

I’m grateful.

Speech on Music – 6

Good evening. Distinguished guests, honourable students, and others I’d like to greet you all to the 21st anniversary of our music academy!

I, Kabir Ranjan, your host for the evening, really appreciate your participation in this yearly event and your ongoing support of our academy’s expansion and achievement. I know that music is incredibly important to us and that we cannot picture living without it. Because of this, we are making every effort to promote the infectious nature of music around the world. And to my least surprise, I am noticing an increase in the number of individuals collaborating with us as well as the number of kids expressing an interest in music.

As proud teachers of so many students who have extraordinary talent for singing and playing musical instruments, we now watch as these students take the globe by storm while also steadily and gradually broadening their horizons. So let’s learn more about music and what makes it so.

Music is often defined as a sound that adheres to a particular rhythm or harmony of musical notes in order to generate a sound that transmits the emotions of the performer and evokes the same sentiments in others. Music similarly entails a movement of musical notes and harmony of sound which, when combined, produce the desired result and lift one’s soul from the humdrum of daily life, just as dance involves a physical movement in order to express one’s sense of joy or passionate feelings through various dance forms, such as break dance or ballet.

Music often comprises of many kinds of expression and is seen to have a profound impact on the lives of many individuals. For instance, music can both be felt and heard and has the ability to take you to a completely new world. You could experience happiness and self-confidence as a result. Music comes in a variety of styles, including classical, modern, western pop, etc. In certain ways, music also contributes to the survival of the tradition. Is it not common for Indian parents to sing the same bedtime song to their kids that they used to hear from their own parents when they were younger?

Unbelievable as it may seem, music may also help individuals survive. People who experience depression may find solace in listening to their favourite musicians, singers, or bands. I’m certain that everyone, including myself, has gone through something similar at some point. I firmly think that music has the power to alter or shape a person’s mood or state of mind. It is a worldwide language that serves to bring people together. As a matter of fact, if I were to speak from personal experience, I’d say that I have a strong bond with music that grew stronger after I travelled to France to attend the “Saint Chartier” festival. Every year, people travel there from all over the world to perform music, sing, and dance together.

My blood is music, and I genuinely think that music has tremendous healing potential. I have nothing else to add.

Many thanks!
