Dear Teachers, Respected Vice Principal, Respected Principal, and My Dear Fellow Students – Greetings from all of us!

Today, Standard VIII (B) student Akanksha Gaur will provide a lecture on the subject of “Laughter is the Best Medicine.” This topic was chosen for a good reason, and that good reason is because I see a lot of sad faces around me. While many of those expressions are unhappy because of suffering and/or hardships in life, some are sad for no apparent reason. We only have one life, so let’s spend it happily and with the love of others, is the message I want to get over to you all loud and clear. Similar to how grief spreads quickly, laughing does too. In the end, we always receive back what we give to others. So why don’t we just spread happiness and laughter to others and hope for the same in return?

Though it is true that laughter is the best medicine, the term “medicine” in this context refers to anything with therapeutic qualities rather than actual medicine. Although it doesn’t cure your ailment, it will help you relax and temporarily forget about your difficult personal circumstances. Your entire body and mind may be relaxed and put to rest via laughter. Of course, you can significantly reduce your stress level and reenergize yourself. To put it another way, it increases your level of energy and makes it possible for you to become more concentrated in life while feeling a surge of new vitality and excitement.

But regrettably, in the modern world, individuals have lost sight of laughing and the true joy of community. Few individuals have time to enjoy the little things in life and make the most of each passing moment since practically everyone is chasing money and prestige.
