Speech on Internet – 1

Pleased to meet you, ladies and gentlemen!

As you are aware, the purpose of today’s seminar is to talk about many elements of the internet, including its advantages and disadvantages. As the seminar’s host, I’d like to extend a warm greeting to everyone in attendance and express my earnest hope that our active involvement will make today’s session productive for everyone in attendance. However, before we start the discussion round, I’d want to give a little online speech to get the audience warmed up and in the hopes of expanding on your prior knowledge.

The definition of the internet varies from person to person and has many connotations. The key reason for this is that it provides a wide variety of applications in addition to numerous chances for trade and commerce. In other terms, “internet” is an abbreviation for “internetwork system,” which refers to a computer network.

Did you know that the US Defense Department created the ARPANet, which is a system of computer networks using telephone lines, in the year 1969 with the assistance of their Advanced Research Project Agency, commonly known as ARPA? Using their sites located in various locations, military personnel and academics may be contacted by officials thanks to the ARPANet.

Then, as networking technology advanced gradually and a variety of information was accessible on the ARPANet, the authorities linked an increasing number of computers to the source. In this manner, a sizable minimum mass for the internet was attained. When ARPANet was shut down in 1990, the internet itself took its place as the most potent and dominant force in communication.

Let me also provide you a couple more fundamental internet truths. The Internet is organised into three core layers: the Internet Backbone, Internet Service Providers, and End Users. The networks that make up the Internet backbones are thought of as being extremely fast and connected to one another. Internet service providers are connected to any backbone that has high-speed data transmission connections. In order to access the internet, the end user contacts the internet service provider more frequently.

It should go without saying that the internet has made life for us much simpler and that we can now complete a variety of tasks while centralised, such as bill payments, purchases of goods, job searches, etc. It undoubtedly saves us a great deal of time and effort and allows us to focus our energies on other tasks.

Having said that, I also want to point out that while the internet has many benefits, it also has a significant drawback in that it has a negative influence on our health. As one continues to work on it day after day with little to no physical exercise, your body begins to generate illnesses that lower your quality of life.

I’m hoping that my lecture may help you develop and broaden your viewpoints. Now that your perspective has been heard, the audience is asked to start the conversation.

I’m grateful.

Speech on Internet – 2

Dear Students, Honorable Principal, Vice Principal, and My Colleagues – Good day to everyone!

As the morning assembly has come to an end, our management committee has determined that in order for our pupils to become more socially conscious and sound, they will choose a topic every other day and give a speech on it. Therefore, the speech topic picked for today is the Internet, and I, your sociology instructor, will give a speech on the subject. I hope it will be informative and helpful to you, and that you will feel free to ask questions or voice your opinions at the conclusion.

In order to satisfy the requirements of billions of people worldwide, the internet has developed into a sizable system of interconnected computer networks that uses the standard Internet protocol suite, generally known as TCP/IP even though not all applications use TCP. It is a vast web of networks made up of millions of public, commercial, business, academic, and government networks that communicate on a variety of wireless, electrical, and optical networking technologies, ranging from local to worldwide platforms. There is no question that you may find a wide variety of information resources and services online, such as the World Wide Web’s (WWW) interconnected hypertext pages and the infrastructure for maintaining email accounts.

As the cost of using the internet has decreased and it is now, of course, fast, it is giving enterprises and students all over the world substantial advantages because getting an online connection is now quite simple. Information and communication are the internet’s two most vital purposes. Information may be changed or updated whenever feasible, which gives everyone the opportunity to learn more and understand things better.

Unfortunately, the current age, and particularly our kids, have grown so dependent on technology that they are deviating from their academic objectives. They spend the entire day chatting with friends, browsing the internet, and browsing, and by the time the day is through, they hardly have any time left for studying. Even worse, because of this behaviour, they become erratic in their academic performance and lose the ability to maintain organisation, which is seen in the kids’ declining grades. The experts have stated that the findings of the research and study regarding how pupils utilise social networking sites and consume internet data are undoubtedly unfavourable.

Social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, and others have turned into the biggest obstacles to students’ academic ambitions. One of the major problems of this technology is that once a student reaches a university level of study, there is no way to control it. However, schools may still have a significant impact on students by guiding them and assisting them in understanding the significance of time and time management skills.

On the other hand, the internet is a huge informational resource that students may utilise to finish their projects and tasks. There is no doubt that one can discover on the internet any information or knowledge that has ever been. So easily search the internet for the necessary information, then review it as needed.

I want to conclude by saying that technology may be a blessing if utilised wisely, or it might kill mankind if used incorrectly. So utilise it to your fullest potential and gain from it.

Children, please raise your hands now and speak to us individually.

I’m grateful.

Speech on Internet – 3

Good morning, Principal, Teachers, and My Delightful Students!

As a manager of this institution, I’d like to say a few words about the internet and describe some of its different aspects because learning about the internet has become extremely important in today’s society. This meeting has been organised today in our institution to discuss the various aspects of the internet. One of the most important aspects of our modern way of life is the internet. The internet is a network of interconnected computer networks that uses the internet protocol (IP) for communication and the border gateway protocol (BGP) to determine the optimum method for routing those communications.

The federal government of the United States commissioned research in the 1960s to develop reliable and fault-tolerant computer networks, which is where the beginnings of the internet may be found. As institutional, personal, and mobile computers began to be connected to the network in the early 1990s, the beginning of the transition to the modern Internet and created significant development. The internet’s services have practically permeated every aspect of our lives by the late 2000s. New technologies like email, digital newspapers, online music, etc. are redefinition and replacement of the conventional communication networks and media such as newspapers, paper mail, television, etc.

With the help of internet technology, print publication is being transformed into blogging, web feeds, and online news aggregators. With the advent of instant messaging, online forums, and social networking sites, there are several new ways to communicate with others. The ease and wider selection of internet shopping have contributed to its rapid growth in popularity. The internet’s business and financial services aid in the chain-reaction of all global industries.

Its largest services are found on the World Wide Web (WWW). Worldwide, it is utilised by billions of people. The World Wide Online (WWW) software, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer/Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Apple Safari, and Google Chrome, allows users to move between web pages by using hyperlinks that are contained in the documents. Information has been greatly dispersed thanks to the World Wide Web.

Internet provides numerous benefits, but it also has certain drawbacks. In certain ways, the internet may be hazardous. Sometimes, individuals use it to disseminate rumours, secrets, or very harmful advice. Your information may occasionally be seen by other unusual persons if it is sent over the internet. For instance, Facebook’s privacy settings have certain issues. Any content may be posted on a website, however doing so may not be a good idea unless the user is very certain of what they are doing. Verify that the URL begins with https:// rather than https:// to determine if a website is safe. This indicates that it is secure and that no one else can view the data as it is being transferred. The decision to utilise the internet constructively or destructively ultimately rests with us.

I’d want to close by saying that I hope you’ve gained a better understanding of the various facets of the internet by listening to my lecture.

I appreciate you and wish you all a wonderful day.

Respected Teachers, Respected Principal, and My Loved Friends!

I’m Nandani, a student in the XII grade, and I’m here in front of you today to speak about the internet since this assembly is being held to educate the next generation about it. The internet has become a vital component of modern life, particularly for the younger generation. Today’s largest global communication network is the internet. The global system of computer networks that use the internet protocol is known as the internet (IP).

The “United States Department of Defence Advance Research Projects Agency” (DARPA), located in the United States, created the internet. The ARPANET, the first-ever link, was established in October 1969. The World Wide Web (WWW), the most well-known internet service, was developed in 1990 at CERN in Switzerland by a British (UK) man by the name of Tim Berners-Lee. The World Wide Web, sometimes referred to as the “Web,” is the most popular service on the internet. It contains websites with wikis and blogs on them. Unless a password is required, anybody with access to the internet can view these web sites.

For technological installation, access, and usage, there is no centralised administration through the internet. Every permitted network is required to establish its own policy.

In the modern world, the internet is used for a variety of things, including file transfers between devices, online chat through a variety of programmes, electronic mail, and online chat. Sending and receiving emails is the single greatest and most significant usage of the internet. Email travels from one user to another and is private and secure. AIM and ICQ, among other instant messaging programmes and websites, allow several users to speak simultaneously and quickly.

Many countries all over the globe have negative views of the internet and as a result, they prohibit all or some of it. For instance, the Chinese government considers Wikipedia to be subpar, thus there are frequently restrictions on reading and editing it in this nation. Parents occasionally restrict online content that would be harmful for their kids to view. A parental control mechanism is built into most or most gadgets. The whole internet has been blocked in several nations, including North Korea and Myanmar.

Some websites are intended to trick users into downloading viruses that harm their devices or potentially include spying software. Email may also be risky since malicious attachments like viruses could be sent. Online chat rooms are a popular place for stalkers to prey on people. Many websites on the internet provide content that some users may find objectionable. People have occasionally been duped online by several scammers into sending them money or personal information.

To browse the internet securely, all we need is a little awareness and information, and we should use it responsibly.

I’ll end my lecture here in the hopes that it has given you a clear understanding of the internet.

Thank you, and enjoy your day!
