Delhi’s Early History

Delhi has a long history that began in the 12th century. It is regarded as one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities, not just in India. Ibrahim Lodi, Zaheeruddin Muhammad Babur, Sher Shah Suri, Prithvi Raj Chauhan, Qutub-ud-Din Aybak, Jalal-ud-din Firuz Khilji, Shah Alam Bahadur Shah I, and Akbar Shah II are only a handful of the several strong rulers who governed Delhi. Various emperors destroyed and rebuilt the city several times.

It is thought that the Pandvas also inhabited this region of the nation. The name of the city at the time was Indraprastha. It is believed that the Old Fort (Purana Qila) was built at that time.

My father has a transferable job and hence we are always on a move. We have changed as many as four cities since my childhood. I never thought that there would be any one city that I would really be able to call home until I moved to Jaipur. It has been just two years that we have shifted to this place but it feels like home already.

I love everything about this place – from the house we have rented for accommodation to my school, from my neighbourhood to the local markets, from the beautiful monuments to the delectable food. Everything here is just amazing. But what I like the most about this city is the people here.

The people here are very warm and friendly. Our neighbourhood aunty is always ready to extend help to my mother whenever our father is out on official tours. Her kids are as friendly as her and I have found my best friend in her daughter. I have also made some really close friends in my school.

I also love the fact that there is so much to explore in this city. The never ending bazaars full of beautiful clothes and home décor items, the ancient monuments and the beautiful temples – I just love everything about this city. Finally, there is a place I feel like calling my own. This is my city and I would love to live here forever.

My parents moved to Noida when I was only 2 years old. India’s National Capital Region includes the planned city of Noida. The day of the city’s founding, April 17, 1976, is commemorated annually as Noida Day.

My City, My Hope

I have spent the previous 12 years residing in Noida. My childhood home of three years is still fresh in my mind. I still have warm recollections of my friends who lived in our neighbourhood, despite the fact that I was very young at the time.

For the first three years, we lived in rented housing before moving into our own apartment in a lovely neighbourhood with all the latest conveniences. Just 3 miles separates my home from my school, and my parents’ place of business is also close by. The Shopping Trips

Large shopping centres and malls can be found in Noida. In order to have fun with their family and friends, people from Delhi and other areas of the NCR travel especially far to visit these malls. I’ve been to all of these malls, and I always have a great time. We visit these malls for family dinners, movies, and video games. My parents have recently started allowing me to visit malls with friends, even though they pick me up and drop me off there. Trips to these malls are quite exciting. At these malls, I particularly enjoy playing various games like air hockey and bowling.

Foodie’s Delight in Noida

Noida is undoubtedly a foodie’s paradise. Given the abundance of workplaces and educational institutions nearby, Noida is a mecca for delicious street cuisine. From Chinese momos to Lucknowi kababs, everything that is offered here is really excellent.

Conclusion

One of the most exciting cities in the nation is my own. Everything about this place is great. All I want is for women’s security to be strengthened by the local government.

Essay On Role of Science in Making India In English (400 Words)

I was born in the city of Lucknow. My immediate family and I reside there. Up until the age of 10, we lived here, but about two years ago, my father’s job required that we go to Rajasthan. My grandparents continued to reside there even though my parents and I moved to Udaipur, Rajasthan. But now that my father’s project is over, we will shortly return to Lucknow. I’m really looking forward to my thirteenth birthday celebration in my home city.

My earliest impressions of Lucknow

We shared a household. My parents and grandparents and I shared a home. My grandparents, their tales, the streets of Lucknow, and the weekend excursions to the surrounding marketplaces are all present in all of my early memories of Lucknow. My grandfather and I used to go for morning walks together, and as we walked, he would tell us stories from his youth. The bougainvillaea plant that grew in our backyard reminded me of how fresh it was.

I recall going to the stunning white marble temple in the evenings with my grandmother. I can still smell the aroma of the newly made kabab paranthas at the neighbourhood street vendor. I also recall going to the market on the weekends with my dad. During that time, we went shopping, ate, and had a great time.

Favorite Locations in Lucknow

Lucknow is renowned for its marketplaces, delectable cuisine, and stunning monuments. The Imam Bara, Marine Drive, Hazrat Ganj Market, and Bhootnath Market are some of my favourite locations in Lucknow. I have many pleasant recollections of these locations.

I have been to Imam Bara frequently. When I was quite little, my parents took me here for the first time. A few years later, I went there as part of a field trip for school. When my maternal aunt and cousins came to visit, we also went there. I could keep going back to Imam Bara and never get tired of it.

We frequently went to Marine Drive after dark. A stroll down the river was quite reviving. Along with my mother, I adored going shopping at the Bhootnath and Hazrat Ganj marketplaces. We both enjoy shopping, and the selection of goods we found there was incredible.

Conclusion

I am really eager to return to the city of Nawabs. I’m hankering after some of Lucknow’s delectable kabab rolls and korma. I also want to catch up with my old pals and go to all of my favourite locations in the city.

Essay On Role of Science in Making India In English (500 Words)

I’m a Chandigarh resident. I was born and raised here, and I genuinely adore everything about it. The country’s most picturesque city is mine. It is the capital of both Punjab and Haryana, making it one of India’s seven union territories.

Origins and History of the City

The first planned city in India was Chandigarh. It was first used in the years following independence. Punjab was split into two pieces at the same time as India. Lahore, the capital of Punjab, became a part of the newly created Pakistan, leaving the state without a capital. Planning for Chandigarh centred on providing Punjab with a capital. A new state was created from Eastern Punjab in 1966. It eventually took the name Haryana. Punjab and Haryana both have their capitals in Chandigarh.

Planning and Organization in Chandigarh City

It is commonly known that Chandigarh is a well-planned city. It is admired for its architecture and design all around the world. As the former Indian Prime Minister Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru’s vision for his country, great consideration was given to the city’s design. Albert Mayer, an American architect, was specifically requested to lay its design. Le Corbusier, a well-known French architect, created a number of structures and made an architectural contribution to the city. The city is split up into different sections, each of which has its own market and neighbourhood. A wide range of lovely trees have been planted throughout the city.

The Sukhna Lake, an artificial lake in sector 1, is Chandigarh’s main draw. It was established in 1958 and has since become one of the city’s trendiest locations.

Chandigarh residents have maintained the methodical methodology that was used in its construction. The city is not only brilliantly planned, but it is also kept immaculately clean in all respects. In contrast to other regions of the country, there isn’t any litter here. The city’s traffic police are always on the lookout. Nobody would dare to violate the traffic laws here. Every level of discipline is upheld. Here, people coexist in harmony and tranquilly.

My Favorite Place is Sukhna Lake

Sukhna Lake is without a doubt my favourite location in the city. Every day more activity is happening there. In comparison to the evening, the vibe here in the morning is entirely different. The area is peaceful and fresh air-filled in the morning. The finest location to unwind and unwind is there. It is bustling in the evening with people taking boat rides and eating refreshments. Children’s electronic swings have also been fitted. During the late hours, the area is incredibly busy. It is a great location for both family and friend outings. I have the option of visiting the location both in the morning and at night. Both when it is quiet and peaceful and when it is crowded, I adore it.

Conclusion

My lifeline is Chandigarh, which is more than just my city. I want to live here the rest of my days. In any other city, I don’t think I’ll be able to live as contentedly and calmly.
