I’ve always wanted to give mountain climbing a shot. I frequently read online about the mountain climbing teams who travelled to various locations to partake in this adventure activity. I pleaded with my parents repeatedly to let me go for the same thing, but they consistently said no out of concern that I might get hurt. It wasn’t until recently that I was able to convince them to let me go mountain climbing at Nag Tibba mountain, which is close to the well-known hill station Mussoorie. A few of my friends were successful in getting their parents’ approval, and we were all very excited about our adventure.
My First Time Climbing a Mountain
One of the top mountain climbing locations in India is Nag Tibba. 9915 feet is the height of the peak. Here, mountain climbing required two days, so I prepared my gear properly. By vehicle, we travelled to Panthwari’s base camp. There, our mountain climbing guide and his crew were ready to greet us. We were a group of eight friends, and another group of 12 individuals, as well as our guide and his staff, were supposed to hike with us up the mountain. We were given detailed instructions on how to approach this adventure sport, and we adhered to them the entire time.

The hike was stunning. As we made our way to Khaitan, which was about 4.5 kilometres from Panthwari, our first stop, we were treated to a gorgeous panorama of the hills, valleys, and a diversity of flora and animals. We travelled to Khaitan for around six hours. We relished the entire adventure. On the way, we laughed and took pictures. By the time it was through, though, we were completely worn out. As soon as we got to Khaitan, we had sizzling hot Maggi. After taking a little break, we explored the neighbourhood, took pictures, and relished the tranquilly of nature.
We made the walk from Khaitan to Nag Tibba the following morning. It was a two-hour climb through breathtaking scenery. We arrived in Nag Tibba with a sense of accomplishment. After pausing there for a while, we started the equally exhilarating descent. The same distance was covered in around three hours.
Conclusion
It was a really wonderful experience. During our mountaineering expedition, we had stunning views of the Bandarpoonch peak, Kedarnath peak, Gangotri group of peaks, Changabang peaks, and Doon Valley. The breathtaking scenery has a lasting impression on us. In the future, I hope to embark on numerous mountain climbing trips.

Mountain climbing and trekking have always captivated me. However, until I actually experienced it, I had no idea how fantastic it was. With two of my close friends and a bunch of total strangers who we quickly became friends with, I set out on the Deoriatal to Chandrashila peak trip.
Trek from Deoriatal to Chandrashila Peak
The Chandrashila Peak Trek is regarded as the best for beginners here. The travel organisation that organised this sport informed us in advance about the type of weather and environment we should anticipate, the kinds of clothing to pack, and other equipment that should be included in our travel bags. We meticulously packed everything because we were so eager to try out this new adventure sport.
From our hometown of Haridwar, we travelled to the Sari village. We travelled for almost 10 hours to get to this town, which served as our base camp. There, we stayed the night before beginning our mountaineering adventure the next morning. We were informed of the specifics of this adventure sport before beginning. The team that our trek guide led was very knowledgeable. To ensure proper supervision and protection, our trip leader had one of his team members travel through the middle of our group and the other toward the end. Trekking poles were provided, and we were shown how to use them.
From Sari, we started our walk toward Deoriatal. Without the trekking poles, we would have slipped off and on because the path was treacherous. On the way, there was a beautiful vista. We observed a wide range of vibrant birds flying around freely in the skies. The Kedarnath range was also visible, and it was breathtaking. After travelling for almost four hours, we arrived in Deoriatal and spent the day there.
We hiked from Deoriatal to Rohini Bugyal the following morning. Because of the windy day, it got really cold. As we hiked into the woodlands, we were surrounded by magnificent greenery. The distance was 8 kilometres. December had hardly passed, and snow had completely blanketed the journey. As we approached Rohini Bugyal, we were all exhausted. We ate lunch, slept for a while, and then explored the area to admire the natural beauty. We hiked from Rohini Bugyal to Chopta on the third day. It was a 6 mile hike over snow and dried leaves. On the way, we came upon a stunning waterfall, where we spent some time relaxing.
The Difficultest Route
We hiked from Chopta to Tungnath to Chandrashila and back on day four. The hardest route was this one. Particularly dangerous and difficult was the walk from Tungnath to Chandrashila. Our trek leaders led us and kept on guard at all times.
We took a few shots while standing on the Chandrashila peak to take in the gorgeous scene. It was absolute joy. After that, we descended the mountain to get in Chopta. The following morning, we continued our hike to Duggalbitta, the final destination of our journey. We took a bus to Haridwar from there.
Conclusion
It was an excellent encounter. In the course of this mountain climbing and hiking excursion, I overcame my concerns and created lifelong memories. My pals and I had the same thoughts, so we decided to go on additional treks together.
